A GIRLS' GETAWAY AT A LUXURY OASIS
I recently went on a long overdue girls’ getaway to beautiful Singapore for a whole glorious week. My friends and I stayed at the fabulous Shangri-La Apartments, Singapore. This luxury oasis was the perfect accommodation for our group of six where we could all stay together comfortably. We were delighted with the splendid resort facilities and prime location. It was the ideal setting for our tropical, fun-filled holiday.
My girlfriends and I were super excited to head off overseas on this long-anticipated holiday, leaving our beloved families at home. This took quite a bit of planning and coordination, but it finally came to fruition. Our destination of choice was the lovely city state of Singapore.
It was like we were twenty years old again, young and carefree. I can’t tell you how life changing such a trip was for us mums, to go away together, for the first time in our lives. The 6 of us have a total of 15 children between us, so you can understand why we needed this break. It was a well-deserved vacation for a week of fun and relaxation, that we embraced with much enthusiasm.

Location
Located close to Orchard Road, we were walking distance to the famous shopping precinct and close to the Botanic Gardens. Our apartment was in close proximity to many of the epic sites to explore in Singapore. It was just a 30 minute drive from the airport.
Features
Our stylish apartment was beautiful. We had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It was very spacious, clean and well-appointed, and included a small kitchen with stove, microwave and full size refrigerator. The comfortably furnished lounge and dining area was ideal for when we wanted to chill out at home. It really was our home away from home.
Facilities
We had full use of the huge resort pool with waterfall, which we made use of regularly to cool off. A much appreciated and welcomed relief in the hot climate.
A fully equipped gym and steam room was onsite, and in-room dining was on offer too.
The hotel of the same name, the Shangri-La Hotel, adjoins the property. Full use of all hotel facilities are available to apartment residents. These include pools, health spa, tennis courts and the many different restaurants.
We enjoyed the convenience of the hotel restaurants and bar service in the foyer lounge, which was available all day. They had live music playing in the evenings creating a lovely ambience in which to enjoy a cocktail.
The gorgeous cafe and cake shop at the hotel here became a much loved morning ritual to prime us for each day’s adventures, with delicious coffees and pastries.
Service
The staff at the Shangri-La Apartments Singapore were very friendly and beyond accommodating, assisting us with any requests – restaurant bookings, shuttles, taxis, extra towels, water bottles, late check out and much more. I cannot praise them enough. Everything was truly superb.
We honestly could not have asked for a better apartment for our girls’ getaway.
I would most definitely stay at the Shangri-La Apartments Singapore again.

Our many adventures in Singapore included highlights such as, Marina Bay Sands rooftop dinner with spectacular views, Gardens By The Bay and Supertrees, afternoon tea at Raffles Hotel and many, many Singapore Sling cocktails along the way.

Wow, this looks like the ultimate girls getaway. What a luxurious looking place to stay, definitely the kind of place I’d love to spend a vacation. I’ve been to Singapore once but I was definitely on a budget at the time and nowhere near able to afford a place like this. I think I would love to go back and explore Singapore now with a bit more money
